Introduction: The main aim of this study was to investigate the effects of brain lateralization on the scores of paranormal beliefs. The sample of the study is comprised of 180 students at Sanadaj's universities who were selected following a convenience sampling technique (100 males of left brain dominance, 6 females of left brain dominance, 56 males of both left/right-brained and 22 females of both left/right-brained). 
Method: The present research is reliant on a causal-comparative approach. It makes use of the paranormal belief scale devised by Blackmore (1994) as well as brain lateralization questionnaire (1985). Also, the data were analyzed using Univariate Analysis of Variance and Multivariate Multiple Regression. The significant level of the test was a= 0.05.
Findings: The findings obtained suggest that there is a significant difference between the left brained and right brained people in terms of paranormal beliefs. A significant difference was also found between the left brained males and both left/right brained females in terms of paranormal beliefs.  
Conclusion: The paranormal beliefs of the left brained differ than those of both left/right-brained people and this difference can be seen between the male left brained and both left/right-brained females.
